The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Brand Marketing Manager in our National Center office located in Dallas, TX. The location for this position is flexible and home based.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for developing integrated marketing communications plans, managing campaigns and overseeing the execution of assets for the Women and Kids Portfolio to help advance market objectives, brand and impact goals. Marketing planning responsibilities may include management of paid advertising campaigns, audience targeting and persona development, integrated channel mix, defined KPIs, execution and performance analysis within each plan. Responsible for collaborating with peers and cross-functional teams (Consumer Health, Communications, Social, Digital, Creative to name a few) to deliver consistent messaging, content and assets across all channels. Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders to meet the business needs and successfully implement assigned marketing plans.

 

Essential Job Duties:

  • Develop, implement and execute marketing and campaign plans. Lead creation of marketing and creative briefs, project management framework, and toolkit deliverables.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, agencies/vendors and external strategic partners to implement, and ensure planned assets are distributed in alignment with overall marketing strategies across owned, paid, and earned channels (with Communications) that engages the targeted audiences and increases conversions. Recommend new opportunities to leverage existing channels or pilot new channels.

  • Document and analyze campaign performance such as effectiveness, opportunities and lessons learned to inform future optimization recommendations. Collaborates with analysts and cross functional teams to develop and present performance insights and recommendations for future optimizations and next steps of assigned marketing campaign.

  • Implements tests and key learnings through internal cross-functional and external partnerships to continually optimize and monitor channel performance and audience engagement and conversions.

  • Manage budget, measurement, and invoicing process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Communications Degree or related area
  • Five (5) years of the following experience:
    • Experience in developing integrated marketing strategy and managing campaigns, and analyzing performance to address business needs
    • Experience in working with multiple vendors/partners (internally and externally) with critical timelines and multiple project requirements
    • Experience developing and managing integrated marketing campaign budgets and billing processes
    • Ability to develop and analyze conceptual strategies and recommend changes to optimize marketing performance
    • Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders – business, creative, media, legal, science, internal partners, and product owners. Ability to manage and influence without direct authority
    • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to track and meet deadlines over multiple concurrent projects. 
    • Ability to capture audiences with compelling narratives and possesses excellent deckbuilding and written/verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in marketing that targets broad consumer audiences
  • Experience with creative design programs, including Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, Canva
