The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a National Advocacy Consultant in our National Center office located in Dallas, Texas (flexible work arrangements available).
In this role, you will be responsible for providing consultation to advocacy staff to ensure policy positions used in campaigns across the country align with American Heart Association’s policy positions and subsequently the science. Additional responsibilities include optimally building the capacity of advocacy campaigns through hands-on field consultation, campaign guidance and technical support. Responsible for building positive relationships with advocacy staff while facilitating the successful development and implementation of planning tools and resources. This role collaborates with all levels of the Advocacy Team to provide federal and global federal, state and local staff and their coalitions with a range of public policy activities including campaign resource development; strategic campaign planning; campaign tactic support; bill drafting; bill and amendment review and guidance.
