The American Heart association has an excellent opportunity for a Quality Improvement Business and Technology Development Manager based out of our National Center office! This position can be home based.

 

This is a full time, benefits eligible, grant funded opportunity. Current funding will expire on June 30, 2028, with the possibility of extension.

 

This individual will be responsible for identification, recruitment, and implementation of healthcare systems such as hospitals and outpatient clinics to funded initiatives with an emphasis on technical implementation of registry technologies.  Responsible for achieving funded initiative strategic plan and yearly recruitment and onboardings goals to increase market penetration for the AHA Quality Portfolio.  Responsible for promoting the adoption of the Quality Improvement Initiative activities, including registries, QI collaboratives, and systems of care which establish and improve standards of care. Responsible for building a network of meaningful volunteers and partnerships to advance the mission of the organization. Responsible for supporting health system technologies teams in the onboarding and maintenance of data related to EHR connected registry technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Researches and identifies healthcare institutions/corporations to target and convert existing and new QI portfolio contract sales. Follow sales plan in by building relationships with hospitals, healthcare systems, outpatient clinics.
  • Applies knowledge and understanding of the Quality, Outcomes Research, & Analytics (QORA) program functionality, features, data requirements, security, and technology standards to engage new accounts. Develops and presents features and benefits in the sales process including the ROI of program participation, as well as opportunities for cross-selling of other Regional and National products, programs, and services. Recruits and engages volunteer leadership to champion the QORA success
  • Supports participating organizations in the technical onboarding of EHR-connected registry environments. Facilitates ongoing engagement with organizations technology vendors for successful data transfer and ongoing maintenance of technologies with health system technical teams.
  • Collaborates closely with the assigned region team to develop and plan sales pipeline, account management, site recruitment, and registry connectivity status.
  • Assesses regional regulatory requirements and market level systems of care activities to identify development opportunities
  • Ensures accounts meet compliance with contracting processes, regulatory and organizational security and privacy policies, and registry or QI activities.
  • Responsible for cross functional collaboration and upholding communication workstreams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Two (2) – Five (5) years of relevant experience
  • Experience with account management and sales success
  • Experience in onboarding organizations to technologies or other technical experience related to interoperability or healthcare data.
  • Experience building and managing relationships with external alliances or partners
  • Experience identifying and building relationships with key volunteers in hospital or clinical settings
  • Ability to interact and engage with C-Suite and/or technical leaderships ideally in hospital or outpatient clinic settings
  • Ability to implement effective business-to-business marketing/sales plans
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications
  • Ability to travel up to 20% local and overnight stay

 

Preferred Experience:

 

  • Hospital/Healthcare account experience
  • Implementation or project management of Healthcare Data Systems

Compensation & Benefits

The expected pay range will be $70,000 to $90,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
