The American Heart Association has an opportunity for a Well-being and Health Equity in the Workforce Intern in our Healthy Living and NextGen Programs department. The American Heart Association is the leader at the intersection of physical health and mental well-being, focusing on chronic stress as the key association between cardiovascular health and mental well-being.The work of the Mental Well-being team is centered around the vision that all people, their families and communities live equitably in optimal physical health and mental well-being, able to cope with chronic stress. The Well-being and Health Equity in the Workforce Intern will support the research needs of the team in a variety of ways, described below.
The American Heart Association’s Internship Program provides college students an opportunity for hands-on experience in various facets for individuals interested in gaining work experience with a non-profit, voluntary health organization.

Reporting to the National Program Lead, Health Equity in the Workforce, our intern will support the implementation needs of the Workforce Well-being strategic plan including health equity in the workforce (HEIW) and mental well-being that will be completed by June 30, 2025:
