This position can be home-based. 

 

This is a full time, benefits eligible, grant funded opportunity. Current funding will expire on June 30, 2028, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

This individual will serve as the program management lead for the national Cardiovascular Kidney Metabolic Health (CKMH) initiative. The Program Manager will work closely with the implementation team to cultivate a national presence and holistic presentation of the CKMH initiative. Responsible for contributing to strategic delivery of initiative commitments, especially operational processes, data collection & reporting, model sharing dissemination, budget management, and other related initiative activities. This position will serve as point person across several different departments within the national office to ensure success. 

  • Serve as liaison across implementation cohorts and cross-functional team to ensure that all initiative commitments are met
  • Communicating regularly with National Director and other initiative implementation leads to track and assure tasks are completed according to grant timeline. Work with national staff partners through ongoing meetings to ensure grant deliverables are being met according to timeline
  • Lead marketing, registration and other needs for events, including but not limited to virtual events, in-person conferences, health care organization network, other web presence
  • Support market and cohort-level learning collaborative and other quality improvement activities, as assigned
  • Serve as point person for ongoing resources needed by participating initiative organizations to sustain knowledge (via online education, articles, etc.). In coordination with staff partners and volunteers, support sustainability plan for all components of grant
  • Analyze results of training, education, and other initiative activities to continually evaluate next steps and needs for the initiative in the defined market.
  • Develop presentations and reports reflecting initiative progress and insights for internal and external audiences

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Two (2) to Five (5) years of relevant experience
  • Strong design, presentation, and report development/compilation skills
  • Program and/or project management experience in healthcare, public health-related organization, and/or other related field. Includes budget management.
  • Experience in influencing performance without direct line accountability
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communications skills
  • Ability to function independently with minimal direction
  • Ability to work in a team environment and interact with all levels of American Heart Association staff, volunteers and the public
  • Comprehensive Microsoft Office suite skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to travel up to 15% local and overnight stay

Preferred Experience:

  • Customer service and/or equivalent account management experience
  • Development and utilization of program/project management software/programs/templates
  • Program development and evaluation
