The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Program Lead, Healthy Living.  This position can be remote based within the U.S.

Expected pay range will be $100,00 to $115,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.

In this role you’ll be designing and implementing high-impact solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external funding partners to drive health outcomes, consumer engagement and revenue supporting the Association-wide national Healthy Living strategic plan established by the National Vice President, Healthy Living Programs.

Responsibilities

 

  • Develops strategic plans and directs implementation across horizontal functions to implement, measure and refine strategies. Functions include MarCom, Science, Advocacy, Community Health, Corporate Relations, and Mission Advancement to drive end-to-end customer solutions related to the portfolio.
  • Provides direction and management of Program Lead.
  • Advances Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for communications and marketing with a focus on increasing awareness, brand recognition and overall visibility.
  • Identify key national strategic alliance partners to achieve new business and volunteer relationships while driving toward a targeted revenue goal. Cultivate, enhance or maintain relationships to achieve scale/sustainability of Association Mission programming. Provides ongoing relationship management, tracking and evaluation.
  • Oversee development of resources to support national communications, marketing and consumer research. Analyzes and evaluates effectiveness and customer engagement with portfolio assets and strategic objectives. Provides recommendations for programmatic development, evaluation and enhancement.
  • Develops and maintains cooperative working relationships with Association staff, volunteers, sponsors and partners throughout the entire product planning process. In collaboration with leadership, identifies and establishes Healthy Living teams to address product development, marketing campaigns, success measures and analysis of market response and reach.
  • Oversee assigned Portfolio operations such as event support, survey development, data analysis, ROI reports, and annual impact reports. Analyzes market trends and business relationships to align with assigned portfolio. Supports the development and execution of the portfolio business plan, reporting on progress and outcomes.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Health, or equivalent work experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience managing subject matter experts and operations/implementation managers.
  • Five (5) years of experience in program development, planning and management.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in the CPG industry, including functional experience in sales, marketing, nutrition/health, or grocery retail.
  • Five (5) years of marketing agency experience with focus on food/nutrition or healthy lifestyle portfolio. 
  • Five (5) years of comprehensive experience building business cases, analyzing market trends and identifying innovative business opportunities.
  • A demonstrated track record of leading strategic relationships with mutually defined KPIs; regularly achieving or exceeding defined goals. Ability to identify synergistic and/or symbiotic relationship opportunities.
  • Ability to establish, manage and grow partnerships.
  • Creative problem solver: a compelling and credible storyteller with a strong ability to map challenges to internal capabilities, with outside of the box solutions, and align back to established business goals.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills allowing you to engage client audiences from multiple levels and industries. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to send and receive communication clearly and concisely
  • Collaboration skills with ability to influence multiple levels - up & down without direct authority
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple functions
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to link strategy, forecast & tactical plans.

Compensation & Benefits
