The American Heart Association has a suburb opportunity for a Sr. Product Consultant Telehealth! This position can be home based.

 

This is a full time, benefits eligible, grant funded opportunity. Current funding will expire on 4/01/2026.

Responsibilities

This individual will be responsible for leading the development of telehealth content, learning programs, and products as part of a 3-year grant. This position will actively collaborate with a cross-functional project teams as well as engage with subject matter experts, organizations, and developers from around the world. The Product Manager will provide direction for the design and development, revision, fiscal management, and quality standards for assigned content and products by (1) working with a project manager to develop project plans, proposals, and procedures; (2) leading the development and production from start to finish; (3) collaborating with American Heart Association staff, volunteers and paid resources; (4) maintaining fiscal oversight and adherence to established budgets; and (5) ongoing evaluation and revisions for the life of the product.

 

  • Collaborates with the Project Manager, Program Manager, and Marketing, to define project scope, establish product requirements, draft contracts, and design the development plan
  • Develops an understanding of the intended audience, science, instructional strategy, and modes of delivery for assigned products. Learns about current user needs and product issues. Demonstrates an understanding of the reasoning behind key policies, practices, and procedures and applies such to content as appropriate
  • Leads project teams in the evaluation, curation, and/or creation of content and product assets that are relevant, valid, and accurate to an industry or topic for a given portfolio of products. Inclusive of the development of multimedia deliverables and assets (e.g., videos, e-learning modules, simulation scenarios, books/e-books, apps, websites, etc.) for assigned programs and products
  • Ensures content and deliverables meet the identified learning objectives, course description, and instructional strategy, and does not compromise the fidelity of the core learning. Ensures content does not compromise the integrity, intent, or the fidelity of the Association Guidelines for CPR and ECC, ASA Guidelines, ACC/American Heart Association Guidelines, or the core science (applicable science)
  • Leads validation of products through beta and pilot tests, coordinates reviews and the collection of feedback, facilitates determination and implementation of changes, and confirms accurate implementation of edits or changes. Manages testing of prototypes throughout development
  • Coordinates and collaborates with Science & Medicine Advisors, Subject Matter Experts, foreign scientific authority, and the project team to achieve approval and signoff of content and product
  • Reviews and triages issues and potential errors or recommendations for the content or product received from the field. Works with technical staff to troubleshoot problems reported by users
  • Ensures project team adherence to a general product development process and established timelines used across the department and develops sub-processes for project-specific tasks as needed
  • Proactively collaborates across project teams to ensure products efficacy and consistently forms productive and collaborative partnerships with team members and stakeholders at all levels Effectively uses informal authority to direct, influence, and motivate others. Solicits and acts on feedback to improve relationships and mission impact
  • Liaises with and fosters relationships with applicable and related science committees and external agencies / organizations

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience
  • Validated skills and direct participation in the development of scientific, technical, or medical content, including experience working with subject matter experts and a formal review process
  • Experience leading program/product development projects
  • Experience developing eLearning and other digital products that meet accessibility requirements. Validated ability to deliver complex eLearning modules on schedule
  • Project management experience
  • Instructional design experience
  • Healthcare background preferred; required for candidates who will work with advanced healthcare content
  • High level of detail orientation, without losing sight of the broader vision
  • Ability to make a timely decision while considering multiple factors and opinions
  • Ability to travel up to 20% local and overnight stay
