The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for an Art Director in our National Center office located in Dallas, Texas.

 

The ideal candidate will be a progressive and ambitious leader with strong experience in designing successful and holistic approaches across multiple mediums including web, social, video, and print. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for identifying and pursuing the latest advancements in creative
  • Visualize early concepts and ideas to showcase potential creative solutions across all touchpoints
  • Liaison to business technology
  • Works cross-functionally enterprise wide as a bridge between field and national to ensure all creative needs are understood in search of future focused solutions including AR, AI, and VR.
  • Brainstorm and learn new tools, methods, and approaches from concept through implementation
  • Works to create disruptive and innovative solutions to staple products
  • Identify vendors, suppliers, and contractors for each facet of innovative projects
  • You’re experienced in taking feedback, guiding clients to appropriate innovative solutions and gathering the requirements to develop on point projects
  • You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and know how to read a room
  • Bring innovative ideas and vision to life across a wide scope of unique projects
  • Collaborate and be able to ideate and construct ideas within a team-based design environment
  • Assist the team in envisioning, designing and building the next generation of impactful digital experiences
  • Work both independently and with others in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Design, Experience Design, Brand Design, or Graphic Design required.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on creative brand design experience (e.g., strategic brand development)
  • Extraordinary design taste
  • Proven expertise in a breadth of UI and UX skill sets
  • Proven success in visual design and communications design, creating and working in design systems for all kinds of digital touchpoints
  • Up to date on the latest design, emerging technologies, and business trends
  • Needs to have expert level knowledge of PowerPoint, Figma, the entire Adobe creative suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro) at a minimum; other software knowledge to support up and coming innovative design solutions is preferred
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work in an ambiguous and dynamic work environment; is comfortable with risk and uncertainty
  • Effectively collaborate across functions to deliver on project plans
  • Drive for results, able to influence and accomplish tasks through formal and informal channels
  • Effectively communicates (verbally and written) with internal and external stakeholders across all levels.
  • Design experience in the gaming industry, or working with AI, AR, VR is a plus
