We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Sr. Marketing Manager to oversee and execute marketing projects, event experience and operations for the #1 Peer to Peer fundraising campaign in the industry, Heart Walk. Through fundraising, community education and corporate engagement, the Heart Walk aims to enhance CPR training accessibility, bolster bystander preparedness, increase funding for vital research, and ultimately, save lives. This role will also support CycleNation and emerging strategies by delivering top-tier experience, tools, resources, strategies and customer service.

 

This role will be responsible for content creation and executing marketing strategies, event experience management, resource management and support, training support, digital communications, and collaboration that drives engagement and revenue growth.

 

The location is flexible for this position.

 

The expected pay range is $80,000 - $95,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.

Responsibilities

 

Best in Class Event Experience

  • Oversee and ensure a best-in-class experience for volunteers, sponsors, and participants both on the day of the event and during pre-event activities
  • Create and manage management tools, resources, and training for event experience excellence.
  • Oversee sponsorship activation to include proposals, activation assets, tools, and resources.
  • Oversee campaign incentives, merchandise, and promotional inventory, managing vendor relationships, product selection, and fulfillment logistics.
  • Execute participant and customer feedback system and present insights to campaign leads to ensure our campaigns are a meaningful and excellent experience.

 

Marketing/Communications Strategy and Execution

  • Help shape and execute marketing and communication strategies to ensure clarity, engagement, and brand consistency
  • Partner with National Comms and Branding to ensure messaging consistency and effectiveness.
  • Keep field engagement high by making sure communication is easy to understand and useful.

 

Content Creation & Management

  • Create, update, and collaborate with internal departments to deliver development materials to equip the field team with effective tools and resources for recruitment and revenue growth.
  • Evaluate gaps in existing materials and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead content creation and management for key campaign resources on an annual basis.
  • Oversee website content updates and digital communications.

 

Digital and Salesforce Communications

  • Collaborate with campaign leads to define and communicate priorities and strategies to Salesforce and digital teams.
  • Liaison with internal stakeholders to execute communications.
  • Branding and key message guidance.
  • Ensure digital content fits into the overall strategy.
  • Project manage all feedback on digital messaging with campaign lead staff.

 

Sharepoint Management

  • Lead team SharePoint page strategy, implementation, and day to day management.
  • Update content on SharePoint to reflect the latest field strategy and tools.
  • Ensure content is easy to find.

 

Field Marketing & Training

  • Support in-person new staff Boot Camps by managing content presentation and coordinating logistics with the core Boot Camp team. 10% - 20% travel per year.
  • Collaborate with National Leads to develop training content, presentations, and participant guides for all Boot Camp and ongoing trainings.
  • Manage content delivery logistics and coordinate with internal stakeholders and speakers.

 

Project Management & Operations

  • Track deadlines and deliverables across various campaign projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Coordinate with National Leads on content development.
  • Manage to logistics needed for team meetings.
  • Oversee budget for campaigns.

Qualifications

 

  • Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in program management, event planning, communications, or a related field. Seven (7) or more years preferred
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Experience in content creation, resource development, and training materials design.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits
