The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Director, International Marketing in our International Business Development department!

 

This position can be home-based.

Responsibilities

This individual will be expected to develop and expand business offerings relationships to advance revenue and mission impact of the Association in assigned markets. Responsible for leading and managing product development and marketing to achieve revenue goals through driving both new and organic business. Also accountable for developing and managing strategic marketing plans, market and account analysis and evaluation, and key partnerships.

 

 

  • Oversees the development and execution of the marketing plan for the international markets to include product, price, promotion, and place. The marketing plans will identify the product opportunities and updates in the assigned markets and work with Product Development and vendors to see the product to execution.
  • Provide leadership and guidance for shared resources within the International Alliance Business Unit for activities within the Resuscitation portfolio of programs.
  • Provides direct supervision and coaching to staff. Trains and encourages professional development and best practices in sales and customer support services. Ensures that the account services team maintains the business unit's contact management system to track leads at various stages of the selling cycle
  • Cultivates existing relationships with program participants to influence the accounts to expand participation and to stimulate their interest to also explore other opportunities with the Association Collaborates with the Affiliates in the assigned areas of responsibility. Provides consultation and training to regional staff and volunteers on all Healthcare Business Solutions-related issues.
  • Sets performance objectives staff and monitors performance against goals; and conducts performance evaluations. Tracks performance statistics by individual team. members and for the overall department to document account losses, account progress toward closure, and accounts won.
  • Develops and maintains a budget for assigned projects. Researches and identifies new opportunities for product development and account improvement. 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in international sales and marketing to major clients (corporations, hospitals, governments, etc.).
  • Ability to develop and monitor budgets.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate direct reports to achieve sales goals.
  • Ability to formulate effective business-to-business marketing/sales plans.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, persuasion, and consulting skills required.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% locally and overnight.

Preferred Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with the American Heart Association National/Affiliate structures and Alliance Partners; knowledge of the Association's National Emergency Cardiovascular Care Programs, policies, and procedures is desired.
