The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a  Part-Time Temporary Project Coordinator. This position offers individuals work experience in the growing field of e-commerce. In supporting the American Heart Association's online store, our project coordinator will get hands-on experience helping select product collections and designs, developing email marketing campaigns, and managing a website on the Shopify platform.

 

Position Overview:

  • Time Commitment: 20 hours per week
  • Internship Duration: 9/2/25 – 6/30/26

  • Salary: $23.00 per hour

Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing coordination and administrative support for the assigned department or project. Responsible for tracking progress and preparing reports, distributing communications, scheduling, and other organizing efforts based on project assignments. Also, responsible for record keeping or other administrative duties.

  • Coordinate and monitor project timelines while effectively communicating project needs and related information as required.
  • Communicate with the team to organize and manage assigned projects/meetings. Coordinate and manage scheduling of project meetings, including identifying meeting availability, sending calendar invites, preparing agendas and presentation templates, and ensuring necessary materials and technology are in place to support efficient and productive meetings.
  • Contributing to the review, refinement and finalization of designs and product collections.
  • Ensuring professional marketing and shop presence by reviewing and proofing marketing materials, product descriptions and online store overall.
  • Potential to create email marketing campaigns and/or set up products (product images, descriptions, pricing etc.) within our Shopify environment (dependent on qualifications).
  • Working with vendors that support the store (customer service, product development, warehousing and fulfillment).

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written communications skills, with high attention to detail (grammar, spelling, punctuation).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities involving multiple entities.
  • Strong project management skills to manage and hit deadlines while also proactively informing supervisor of expected delays.
  • Effective oral communication skills.
  • Desire to work hard and learn new skills.
  • Willingness to take advantage of the opportunity to take some ownership, think strategically and identify potential solutions when encountering challenges.
  • Intermediate to excellent proficiency in MS Word, Canva and PowerPoint. Excel experience is a bonus.
  • Ability to deal professionally in a corporate environment.
  • Availability of 20 hrs./wk., M-F between the hours of 8:30am-5pm.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future.  For any roles working remotely, the work must also be performed inside the United States, not in a foreign country.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected pay is $23.00/Hour.  Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
