The American Heart Association has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Treasury Analyst, supporting our National Center office, which is in Dallas, TX. This role is hybrid, currently 2 - 3 days in the office per week.

 

This role plays a critical part in managing the organization’s liquidity, optimizing cash flow, and ensuring effective treasury operations. The Senior Treasury Analyst will act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external financial partners, leveraging financial expertise, analytical skills, and technology solutions to support the organization's mission and strategic goals. This position requires a strong blend of technical treasury knowledge, financial analysis, and communication skills to ensure operational excellence, compliance, and risk mitigation in all treasury activities.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the organization’s daily cash positions including recommending allocations to cash investments.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts to support operational and strategic objectives.
  • Execute, reconcile, and document treasury transactions, including cash and investments.
  • Partner with banks and financial institutions to manage relationships, resolve issues, and optimize banking services.
  • Oversee bank account administration, including openings, closings, signatory management, and service enhancements.
  • Analyze and report on financial metrics, liquidity trends, and treasury performance, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with treasury policies, audit requirements, and internal controls; support internal and external audits.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance treasury processes, policies, and technology platforms; identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Provide support in the preparation of reports and presentations for executive management and board-level discussions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization to align treasury activities with organizational needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required (MBA, CPA, or CTP designation preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible treasury, finance, or corporate banking experience.
  • Experience managing daily cash positioning, forecasting, and liquidity planning.
  • Strong knowledge of banking operations, account management, and payment systems (ACH, wires, card programs, etc.).
  • Experience with enterprise financial systems such as Oracle Financials (preferred) or similar ERP platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Familiarity with treasury management systems (TMS) and financial technology solutions is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide strategic insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex financial concepts clearly to senior leadership.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and translate banking/financial requirements into business solutions.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit financial operations or fund accounting is a plus.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining strong internal controls.
  • Ability to travel 5% of the time per year
