The Professional Education/Lifelong Learning team is looking for a part-time Intern interested in gaining administrative and technical support services experience for professional education program development.  The selected candidate assist the team with administrative support, reporting on educational initiatives, timeline tracking and overall program development tasks. 

Individuals will obtain practical experience and receive hands-on training with projects. In this position, you will work closely with the Lifelong Learning team to support the development of educational program initiatives and special projects. 

The American Heart Association’s Internship Program provides college students an opportunity for hands-on experience in various facets for individuals interested in gaining work experience with a non-profit, voluntary health organization.

Internship Overview:

  • Time Commitment: 20-25 hours per week
  • Internship Duration: 1/26/26-5/1/26
  • Location: Remote
  • Salary: $23.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Work alongside Lifelong Learning team members to gain knowledge of and contribute towards the creation of professional education programs. Specific responsibilities would include:

  • Updating project timelines and other project tracking documentation.
  • Supporting team members with internal processes (e.g., marketing tickets, web tickets.)
  • Supporting the Accreditation Team learning about accreditation in continuing medical education. 
  • Documentation management and exposure to continuing medical education content for the healthcare team.  
  • Assisting in program documentation, engagement in education activities and auditing of activities.



Qualifications

  • College seniors and graduate students pursuing a degree in adult learning education, health studies (programing)-program evaluation ….How to plan and present a program, presenting to an audience, someone with training would be the right person, looking to impact with content
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities and strong attention to detail and follow through.
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with databases and electronic reporting tools.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Required Equipment: Reliable Wi-Fi connection
  • Minimum availability of 20 hrs/wk, M-F between the hours of 9am-5pm.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future. For any roles working remotely, the work must also be performed inside the United States, not in a foreign country.
