The American Heart Association is seeking an experienced Senior Statistical Analyst in our National Center office located in Dallas, TX. This is a remote position.

 

This Sr. Analyst is responsible for translating complex organizational and external data into actionable insights that drive fundraising performance, prospecting, and strategic decision-making. This role operates at the intersection of business strategy, data engineering, and analytics, working across systems such as CRM platforms, cloud data environments, and external data providers to structure data, develop analytical frameworks, and support scalable reporting and modeling. This role is also responsible for organizing, analyzing, and communicating data from multiple sources to support operational and strategic decisions across the organization.

Responsibilities

 

  • Applies statistical and analytical methods (e.g., regression, segmentation, forecasting, scoring) to support fundraising strategy, prospect identification, and performance optimization.
  • Identifies patterns in large, multi-source datasets and translates findings into clear, actionable recommendations that inform fundraising strategy, market prioritization, and resource allocation.
  • Develops scalable analytical workflows and reporting solutions using SQL, business intelligence tools, and automation platforms (e.g., Alteryx or similar) to support ongoing decision-making.
  • Stays current on applied analytics techniques and tools, incorporating practical approaches that improve efficiency and impact of analysis.
  • Works cross-functionally with data engineering, business stakeholders, and leadership to define data structures, metrics, and data quality standards across systems (e.g., CRM, cloud data warehouse, external data sources).
  • Supports development and adoption of advanced prospecting, segmentation, and targeting tools by integrating internal and external data (e.g., firmographic, financial, and relationship network data) into business workflows.
  • Engages in cross-functional collaboration to enhance analytics platforms and data-driven decision-making capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Five (5) years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience working with large, complex, multi-source datasets in a business or nonprofit environment preferred.
  • SQL and data manipulation
  • Data modeling and data quality validation (e.g., understanding of data structure, joins, and data consistency)
  • Data visualization and storytelling (e.g., Tableau or similar tools)
  • Experience working with CRM data (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Databricks or similar)
  • Operates with a high degree of autonomy and partners cross-functionally with strategy, data engineering, and business leadership.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected pay range is $90,000 - $100,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range mayapply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
