We're hiring an Executive Director (ED) in our Oklahoma City market. 

 

The ED serves in a pivotal leadership role within the community and reports to the Senior Vice President, Development. This position works with the highest-level executives in the Oklahoma City area with responsibilities for staffing volunteer Board of Directors and encouraging volunteer engagement and development.

 

We offer a base salary with the potential to earn an incentive up to 25% of your base pay. The potential incentive is based on achieving certain revenue targets and triggers.

This is an office-based position that offers a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

The ED provides strategic direction and management to group of committed fundraisers and support staff with overall responsibility for a $1.2M budget which is cumulative of the revenue goals for Heart Ball, Heart Walk, Go Red for Women events and Individual Giving. As part of encouraging an engaged community, the Executive Director will participate in community and corporate functions that allow for networking and generating new contacts to be part of the Association's mission and fundraising efforts.

 

  • Accomplish results through strong volunteer recruitment and management.
  • Achieving fundraising / revenue goals.
  • Secure corporate donations through participating in and leading top-level sponsorship asks.
  • Cultivate major donors, securing large corporate sponsorships (of $25,000 or more) and identifying and securing foundation gifts.
  • Collaborative approach when working with other internal partners, such as our Community Impact and School Engagement teams to help drive specific Association cause initiatives in defined markets.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of experience in non-profit fundraising or similar experience.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience, ideally with a sales team or fundraising team in a similar organization.
  • Track record in meeting sales/fundraising goals.
  • Proven leadership in special event fundraising, driving strategy, execution and results.
  • Demonstrated success in engaging community partners and building strong, collaborative relationships to advance mission driven outcomes.
  • Ability to travel the Oklahoma City territory daily.
  • Solid understanding of how to engage and work with philanthropic communities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
