The American Heart Association is working to make the healthy choice the easy choice by working with volunteers, staff partners and other organizations to change systems and the environment in our local markets. The Community Health Director, based out of our Harrisburg office location, will serve as the “health lead” for multiple small and mid-size markets in Eastern PA including Harrisburg/Cap Region, Lehigh Valley, Lancaster, York, Lebanon and Wilkes Barre/Scranton. The position will require up to 50% travel throughout the assigned markets.
Under remote supervision of the Community Health & Inclusion Vice President, the Community Health Director will work with the assigned market local Boards, partner organizations, staff partners, and other volunteers to lead strategies and coordinate activities that are driving toward community plans dedicated to building a culture of health.
