The American Heart Association (AHA) has a great opportunity for a Part-Time Summer Internship with our Center for Health Metrics and Evaluation team at our National Center office located in Dallas, TX.


This internship will last approximately 3 months and we are looking for someone about 20 hours per week.


AHA’s Center for Health Metrics and Evaluation is looking for interns interested in gaining experience in methods required to evaluate the impact of AHA’s programs and initiatives. Join an interdisciplinary team and contribute to a wide variety of projects that cross the spectrum of cardiovascular health and disease prevention.

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Health, Community Health, Statistics, or related field of study.
  • Ability to understand scientific communication (journals, briefings, reports, statistics, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills, strong written scientific communication skills.
  • Experience developing data collection instruments and conducting basic descriptive statistical analysis
  • Experience using MS Office (including PowerPoint and Excel) to create reports
