Responsibilities

The American Heart Association (AHA) has an opportunity for a National Senior Lead for Revive, Livestream and Gaming located anywhere in the U.S.

As the National Senior Lead for Revive, Livestream and Gaming, you will launch and lead the American Heart Association’s Revive fundraising and awareness program involving digital content creators on all social channels including Twitch, Tik Tok, and YouTube to help save lives from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Work with a team of internal and external stakeholders to create an online community and platform to help creators turn their passion into purpose by raising money and awareness to help stop heart diseases and stroke. Lead the overall strategy to build the AHA Revive brand in this new space – in collaboration with Marketing/Communications team – in identifying the voice, ensuring we stay on trend, and executing the plan.

  • Lead the continued evolution of the AHA Revive’s “voice” and approach in the space.

Be the “face” of the AHA in the Livestream space:

  • Position yourself as the person who content creators and industry leaders immediately think of when the AHA is mentioned.
  • Represent AHA/Revive on industry panels, webinars, conferences, etc.
  • Develop relationships and partnership opportunities with industry leaders, companies, and livestream platforms.

Identify, pilot, and grow programs within the gaming community including esports and publishers. Develop best practices and toolkits to help the organization launch and scale recruitment and engagement on multiple platforms for livestream fundraising.

Develop a strategic approach to the organizations work in this space using proven methodologies and research. Lead a team that identifies, recruits, and engages partnerships with industry leaders, influencers and content creators. 


Consult with AHA field staff and executives in their efforts to help scale our recruitment and reach in this space.

Essential Job Duties

  • Develop strategic direction for fundraising, awareness and revenue growth from AHA’s Revive brand involving digital content creators on all social channels such as Twitch, Tik Tok, and YouTube.

  • Provide forecasting, trend analysis and oversight in collaboration with national and region leadership. Develop and drive sales strategy.

  • Research, identify and create an online community and platform to execute on streaming and gaming fundraising opportunities. Oversee prototyping, testing and piloting. Analyze and modify user and event experience based on results from surveys, interviews and focus groups. Develop and update best practices.

  • Lead representation of AHA’s campaign development in the industry via panels, webinars, conferences. Establish role to drive recognition of AHA as a leading voice with streaming/gaming content creators and industry leaders.

  • Develop and maintain event priorities, goals, and volunteer leadership experiences through change management, consensus building, and key meetings with regions and markets. Design and develop to scale content, training, and targeted consulting for region leadership and region consultants.

  • Lead tactical operations of assigned program rewards center, reporting, regional integration, dashboard analysis, and system tools. Oversee sales analysis, development and distribution of reporting communications and metrics.

  • Develop overarching communication and marketing plan for assigned corporate program and social channels.

  • Build national relationships and partnerships with corporate relations, assigned program team and volunteers. Manage and facilitate leadership of committee and relationships.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. 
  • 7 years experience in sales or promotional campaigns.
  • Experience in leading and influencing via digital channels and platforms.  Digital and social media strategy experience. 
  • Strong knowledge base on major livestream platforms.

  • Experience coaching and influencing internal leadership and staff to achieve goals and meet organizational objectives. 
  • Experience engaging and leading volunteers.
  • Proven record of success in peer engagement and interaction.
  • Ability to provide consultative services and change management for optimizing campaign reach and revenue.
  • Ability to develop and execute on multiple projects with competing deadlines. 
  • Excellent writing, speaking and presentation skills with the ability to address all levels of the organization.
  • Skilled in campaign oversight and reporting
  • An independent drive to succeed and eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Innovative spirit with the ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to understand and navigate corporate cultures to achieve goals.

Compensation & Benefits

Employees scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week are eligible to participate in the medical, dental, and vision plans the first of the month following 30 days of service. AHA subsidizes the medical and dental cost to ensure benefits are affordable. Eligible dependents under AHA’s group benefit plans include legal spouse, domestic partner, children under the age of 26 or who are disabled. AHA offers additional benefits like an EAP, telehealth benefit for general medical and behavioral health, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, and disability.
 
Retirement Plans: AHA retirement plans offer employees a way to start saving after their first paycheck. The retirement plans provide employer contributions after two years of service.   If you have previous 501(c)(3) non-profit experience, within the last 5 years, at a national health agency, an institution of higher learning or a medical institution, that experience may count towards the two-year waiting period.  Employees are 100% vested in employee and employer contributions.
 
Paid Days Off: Regular full-time and part-time employees earn Paid Time Off (PTO) based on years of service. PTO begins accruing on date of hire. Full time employees receive one paid Community Service time off day per year and are encouraged to participate in projects, programs and organizations which contribute to the health and vitality of their communities. AHA also offers 12 paid holidays per year.

Leaves of Absence: AHA offers both Short Term and Long-Term Disability benefits which replace earnings if you are unable to work due to a non-work-related illness or injury. Employees are eligible for Short Term Disability after 90 days of service and are eligible for Long Term Disability after being disabled for 90 days or more. Eligible employees can take up to 12 weeks off of work for a qualified leave of absence under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), intermittent FMLA leaves and leave as an accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act as Amended (ADAAA).
